so yesterday i got accepted to study my second semester in prato, italy. i've been going to info nights about this exchange since i was sixteen, i really can't believe i'm going. i'll be fucking off at the end of august &living in an old textile mill turned apartment. travelling through italy on weekends &detouring on the way home to london to hang with my sister &hopefully bristol to see my muffins.

it's funny how things turn around. the day prior i was clearly so down about my lack of creativity. now i'll have a painting studio in 14th century building &be living in a town where few locals speak english. last night was sleepless, daydreaming about seeing the sistine chapel. fuck, i really just can't believe it.

this is amazing news! congratulations!
i am beyond jealous but i'm happy for you.
when in italy, make sure you go down to lake como. i've always wanted to visit there. i have family in milian (philippinos married italianos)
learn some italian too.

..that's as good as my italian is going to get. hahaha!

Wow. I am so freaking jealous.

It'll be amazing! Going on exchange was the hardest but most rewarding thing I ever did. And that was only for two months, let alone six.

mines only for two months as well, somehow we're condensing an entire semester in to 8 weeks. intense, i can feel myself having some sleepless nights painting til all hours haha.

Paris. It was like a giant party of love and beauty.

You start to miss home around the 5 week mark, and things like different light switches start to annoy you, then you get over it right before you come home. Ahh, culture shock is weird.

oh god, congrats! it will be a wonderful experience, i'd be lying if i said i wasn't jealous. i'd definately go back to uni if it involved studying overseas ;)
make sure you keep us updated whilst you're over there - and i want lots of pictures!
when do you leave and how long are you going for?

I was driving along Brunswick last week, listening to my GF prattle on about Uni and I thought about you for the 1st time in ages. Nothing sinister, just I remembered how boisterous your laugh was and somehow it made me smile. I forgot about the laugh and was amazed how I let that happen.

I reckon Italy will be amazing, you need to brush up on your Italian before you go but. ;)
